The Not-so-usual Wedding Present

When it comes to weddings it’s not just the bride and groom who are nervous about the big day. This special event causes stress for the gift giver as well. While the most traditional of weddings usually include a bridal registry where the happy couple has chosen the gifts they’d like to receive. What often happens is the items that you’d like to give or can afford have already been chosen and the bride and groom end up with multiple toasters.

So you’re stuck for a gift idea for the bride and groom. The bride has registered at an expensive department store; even that cute little salt and pepper shaker she has listed is twice what you can afford. The groom has lived on his own for years and is known as the “toast master” (No one can shmear a bagel better than him). The couple has been on their own a while; toasters, blankets and glassware are in abundance and the bride to be is having a yard sale to get rid of half of it. So what to do? You want to give a thoughtful gift that will be remembered long after the special day is over that isn’t the same old thing.

Money gifts are always appreciated, but rarely remembered. When considering unique gift ideas, think about a champagne of the month club membership from http://sendchampagne.com. It may be the most unique and thoughtful gift one can give to a newly wed couple.

Figure this; since the couple was so busy at their wedding reception, they probably didn't get to enjoy their champagne at all. Spending the day dancing, greeting guests and hugging grandparents; they never really did get a chance to toast to each other on their day.

A Champagne monthly club will let them celebrate their new life together long after the tuxedo rentals have been returned. A gift like this will be appreciated long after the Bride and Groom’s wedding day when they do finally get to share a glass of champagne without having to stop for social obligations and can celebrate each other.

Prices are reasonable starting at $255.00 for a 3 month club. These clubs come with a personalized certificate which lets the recipient know that they can expect a champagne delivery every 30 days for the next 3 months. They send some nice champagnes and sparkling wines too, including names like Louis Roederer, Veuve Cliquot, Moet & Chandon and Piper-Heidsieck. More expensive clubs seem to offer brands such as Perrier-Jouet and even Taittinger.

One crazy drink recipe

I've never cooked in a crock pot. I own one, but never figured out how throwing raw ingredients into one large electric piece of equipment can possibly have an outcome of a tasty meal. Call me old fashioned, call me a gas stove purist; I just can't do it.
While looking online for recipes (or somewhere to sell my crockpot) I came across drink recipes to cook in the crockpot. The Send Online Blogger Girl thought it would make a fun post and has allowed me to take over your bandwidth for a while. so for those who aren't stuck in the 1950s style of cooking on a range (or barbecue pit, complete with charcoal and lighter fluid) Sendliquor.com presents crock pot cooking to get crocked with:

Hot Rum Punch Recipe

The following list is for three quarts of punch.

Ingredients:
* 2 quarts apple cider
* 2 cups pineapple juice
* 1 cup orange juice
* 1 cup lemon juice
* 1 cup cranberry juice
* 3 cinnamon stick
* 1 tablespoon whole cloves
* 1/4 cup sugar

Directions: Place the above ingredients into your Crock Pot Slow Cooker and heat up well. This should take between 30 and 60 minutes. Serve the prepared ingredients with 1 jigger of rum that is added when serving.

Colonial Hot Buttered Rum Recipe

This recipe makes 14 to 15 servings.

Ingredients:
* 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
* 1/2 cup butter or margarine
* 1 pinch salt
* 3 sticks cinnamon
* 6 whole cloves
* 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 2 cups rum
* heavy cream -- whipped
* ground nutmeg -- for topping

Directions: Put all of the ingredients, except for the rum, the cream, and the nutmeg into Crock Pot; add 2 quarts of hot water to the combined ingredients. Stir the combined mixture well. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours. After cooking time, add the rum and stir to blend. Serve in mugs with a scoop of whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.

Men's Gift ideas for Valentine's Day

Historically, gifts for men have been rather limited in this category. The traditional dozen roses and heart shaped box of candy while a very sweet gesture, is a lost sentiment on the average man. Finding the perfect gift for him is challenging and can take time and effort to acquire.
Send.com, the Internet's premier international gift giving service, announces new products and gift ideas for men for Valentines Day. Unique Valentines Day gift ideas include the Chocolate Decadence gift basket which contains an array of sinfully delicious treats. It features an all-star collection of chocolate including "Turtles with Attitude" (pecan clusters), Perugina chocolates, chocolate covered pretzels, Italian chocolate espresso cake, chocolate biscotti chunks, chocolate orange cookies, and much more.
For the grill master in your life we offer the Jim and Jack grilling gift basket. Jim Beam and Jack Daniels have teamed up in this delicious assortment of grilling goodness. The delectable sauces and marinades will add zest to any steak or chicken cook out. Even those who don't drink will love the zesty flavor of Jim's rich salsa and creamy fudge.
For the serious chocoholic, there is the "Chocolate of the Month" Club." Members of this club enjoy a variety of flavors monthly; including milk, dark and white chocolate assortments, chocolate covered pretzels, graham crackers, non-pareils, peanut brittle as well as some of finest truffles available. We also have Lindt and Perugina chocolate of the month clubs where patrons get to experience a wide variety of flavors from these chocolatiers. Three and six month memberships are available. All Monthly Club members are sent a customized certificate prior to their first shipment.
For the newlyweds who decide to enter into wedded bliss on the most romantic day of the year, a thoughtful and unique gift idea can be a Champagne of the month club. The idea behind it is, since the couple was probably so busy at their wedding reception that they didn't get to enjoy their champagne. The thoughtfulness that goes into this gift will be appreciated when they do get to share a glass of champagne without having to stop for the wedding's social obligations. It will also let them celebrate each month of their first year together with a toast to each other as well as to the gift giver.
Send Online's Champagne club members enjoy the taste of Champagnes & Sparkling Wines from leading wineries of the world including Louis Roederer, Veuve Cliquot, Moet & Chandon, Piper-Heidsieck, Perrier-Jouet, Taittinger, Schramsberg, Bollinger, Ruinart and Dom Perignon. Celebrating the New Year, every month of 2010.

Who says that Champagne is just for celebrations? While it is true that champagne is the ultimate drink to toast with, it doesn’t mean that it’s all it should be for.

For some, the fact that they made it through the day without inflicting bodily harm on a nasty coworker may be enough reason to celebrate. Popping open a bottle of champagne should not be limited to just New Year’s Eve. Let’s face facts; chances are you overpaid for that sip of champagne at that New Year’s Eve gala and the odds are it wasn’t very good to begin with. Of course, you may not know that either.

Champagne experts are few and far between, many people wouldn’t know a good champagne from a bad one. Yes, price matters. But how do you know that the high price paid for the Moet Dom Perignon is actually a better tasting champagne than a Veuve Cliquot at half the cost. What’s the difference between a sparkling wine and champagne? Is champagne only considered a champagne if it comes from the town of Champagné, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France or Champagne, California?

With Champagne of the Month Club orders, you can educate yourself and your palate all the while celebrating whatever comes to mind. When it comes to whom you should order a champagne club from, consider SEND.com. Send Online’s Champagne club members enjoy the taste of Champagnes & Sparkling Wines from leading wineries of the world including Louis Roederer, Veuve Cliquot, Moet & Chandon, Piper-Heidsieck, Perrier-Jouet, Taittinger, Schramsberg, Bollinger and Dom Perignon. Clubs are available in three, six and twelve month programs. Each comes with a certificate welcoming new members to the club and new champagne to taste approximately every thirty days.

Customers can now save $20.00 on their champagne club orders over $200.00 when they use the coupon code SENDCLUB20. This coupon can be redeemed on all SEND.com websites.

Sharing the bubbly with friends near and far on New Year's Eve.

Seems that this year's New Year Eve celebrations will be spent at home for many of us. Feels like holiday revelers have little to celebrate this year, yet it doesn't mean you can't break out the bubbly for New Year’s Eve to share with friends.

Let's face it, the majority of us have not had an easy 2009. Perhaps that's the best reason to celebrate the coming year that much more. A new year and a new decade. Out with the old and in with the new. New plans, revised thinking and a renewed outlook on what truly counts in life. Perhaps it's not about big parties and dancing til dawn with strangers in a cold nightclub, but a cozy night in with friendship bringing the warmth. My plans this year include sharing champagne with friends both near and far with gifts of champagne and phone calls after midnight. Thanks to my cell phone calling circle, the majority of my phone calls will be free. And thanks to the internet, my champagne gifts to friends who aren't a short car ride away will be hassle free with www.sendchampagne.com

With SEND.com, choices are numerous and includes champagnes & sparkling wines from leading wineries of the world like Louis Roederer, Veuve Cliquot, Moet & Chandon and Dom Perignon, Piper-Heidsieck, Perrier-Jouet, Taittinger, Schramsberg, Bollinger, Pol Roger and Mumm. There are also fabulous cost saving choices from Freixenet, Korbel, Martini & Rossi, Piper Sonoma and many others.

Customers can now save $5.00 on their champagne order over $35.00 when they use the coupon code SEND4NYE. This coupon expires January 4th 2010 and can be redeemed on all SEND.com websites.
